We are encouraged by the leadership role of Public Health Units in the vaccination process and we know that health equity is a key consideration in regional plans to ensure efficiently and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. We know that during the pandemic, community health leaders and their partners have worked hard to build lines of trust and work with other community leaders and organizations to ensure that the COVID-19 Vaccine can reach many more people. Canadian Latin Heritage Association and Mississauga Latin Festival have created the “V-TOGETHER” campaign, which has been endorsed by the Canadian Ministry of Health, which consists in providing support to the vaccination campaigns that are being carried out in Ontario especially in the regions of GTA, PEEL, HALTON, and NIAGARA.
